Prospecting
Permit
Permission to
search for minerals, construction and
industrial rocks shall be given by the Board according to a written application
submitted to the chairman of the Board pursuant to the conditions provided for
in this law and its executive regulations. The permission shall be valid for a
prescribed period of up to one year.
The Board may
renew, if necessary, the permission for up to one year if prescribed fees are
paid. The following information is required for an application:
• Definition of
the location and area in which prospecting is planned.
• Details of
the financial and technical capabilities of the sponsor.
• A work
program.
Exploration
License
The Board shall
issue a license allowing the exploration for minerals, construction and
industrial rocks. The Minister shall approve this license for a period of not
more than two years according to a written application submitted to the chairman
of the Board. The executive regulations shall govern the required conditions
and procedures. The following is required:

• Definition of
the location and area in which prospecting is planned.
• Details of
the financial and technical capabilities of the sponsor.
• A work
program.
Exploitation
Contract
The Board may
approve exploitation contracts for minerals, construction and industrial rocks.
A separate law shall be issued to approve Exploitation Contracts for metallic
minerals, and precious minerals. The following is required:
• Definition of
the location and area in which prospecting is planned.
• Details of
the financial and technical capabilities of the sponsor.
• A work
program.
• A feasibility
study.
• An
environmental study.
